Elevating air treatment: Munters partners with LumenRadio for cutting-edge wireless technology
When Munters began development of a new state-of-the-art air treatment solution, they enlisted the assistance of LumenRadio to provide the embedded wireless technology.

“We had three overriding criteria which we needed to be met,” says Anders Johnson, Project Manager at Munters. “Firstly, and most importantly, we required a wireless technology which was completely reliable. Secondly, it had to be simple to implement. And thirdly, we wanted a solution which would use as little power as possible.”

“Our mesh technology gave Munters the simplicity and operational reliability they needed,” explains Erik Orrskog, who worked closely with Munters on the AirC Wireless project. “A meshed network doesn’t rely on a single node to work – it’s self-healing and always finds the most efficient way to send data so you don’t have to worry about radio planning either.”
The next generation of smart climate control unveiled
With the launch of AirC Wireless, Munters’ customers now have a smart indoor climate control solution for remote dehumidifier and humidifier monitoring. Through LumenRadio’s embedded wireless mesh technology, every critical room, process or piece of equipment is kept at the right level of humidity through a network of sensor nodes which wirelessly communicate climate information to a central control system.
“LumenRadio’s wireless expertise has been of huge benefit across the development of AirC Wireless,” adds Anders. “They have always been available to answer our questions and provide support on technical integration matters.”
