S+S expands wireless portfolio with new W-BACnet room controller
S+S Regeltechnik is expanding its wireless portfolio at this year’s Light + Building with the introduction of the Rymaskon® room controller featuring LumenRadio’s wireless BACnet (W-BACnet) technology. Following the strong market response to S+S’s smart sensor range with integrated W-Modbus, launched in 2024, the company is now adding a wireless BACnet option to meet rapidly increasing demand from customers.
As a European leader in advanced sensor technology, S+S continues to enhance its offering by integrating LumenRadio’s wireless solutions. With their W-Modbus and W-BACnet products, customers gain greater flexibility, lower installation costs and reduced maintenance, supporting the industry’s shift toward more efficient, cable‑free building automation.
“Our customers are moving quickly toward wireless solutions and we want to lead that transition,” says Oguz Kemal, product manager of S+S.
“W-Modbus showed us how powerful LumenRadio’s technology can be. With W-BACnet, we’re expanding that success with the same hardware and the same effortless integration.”
Familiar on the outside – future on the inside
The new Rymaskon generation has been engineered so that the same hardware can support both Wireless Modbus and Wireless BACnet, as well as their wired equivalents. Thanks to LumenRadio’s versatile radio module, capable of running both W-Modbus and W-BACnet on the same chip, OEMs no longer need to stock separate products.
This flexibility minimizes complexity for integrators, simplifies logistics for distributors and reduces development overhead for OEMs.
“The fact that one single radio module lets us deliver either W-BACnet or W-Modbus is a real gamechanger,” says Heiko Linke, CEO at S+S. “It simplifies production, logistics and inventory, while also giving integrators the flexibility to select the protocol that fits their project. This is exactly the kind of smart engineering we strive for.”
Experience the innovation at Light + Building
Rymaskon becomes the first commercially available W-BACnet room controller, marking the start of a new product generation. S+S confirms that its wider portfolio of temperature and humidity sensors with wireless BACnet support will follow.
