Prolon Controls selects LumenRadio's MiraMesh for their new wireless building automation offering
Prolon Controls, a Quebec-based leading player on the North American market for Building Automation solutions for medium-sized Commercial Buildings, recently launched their new solution TREE-COM. The new product allows customers to add wireless communication as an extension to Prolon’s already well-established portfolio of controllers, thermostats, sensors and control panels – creating solutions that are significantly easier and more efficient to install and commission. It also eliminates one of the hurdles of retrofitting more energy-efficient and flexible solutions into existing buildings – the dreaded (and expensive) exterior wiring!
The product offers seamless backward compatibility to all existing Prolon controllers and can hence be offered as a bolt-on option on a project-by-project basis. Integrators and installers have been giving the product great reviews, especially in applications involving hard-to-reach devices and retro-fit installations. A lot of time can be saved through avoiding difficult wiring that can be replaced by a wireless link – and the un-esthetics of wiring also becomes a non-issue.
