Bringing a Dutch historic landmark to life with Galileo
With the help of our Dutch partner LRS Solutions, LumenRadio’s Galileo made it possible to illuminate the historic Drogenap Tower in Zutphen, Netherlands – delivering reliable wireless DMX control where traditional cabling wasn’t an option.
Wireless control to the Drogenap Tower
Illuminating a historic tower with RGBW fixtures can be a challenge, especially when the fixtures are positioned far from the building and traditional DMX or DALI cabling is not an option. At the beautiful Drogenap Tower in Zutphen, Netherlands, the lighting poles are located dozens of meters away from the tower, making conventional cabling impractical.
To overcome this, our Dutch partner LRS Solutions, together with Industrielicht, implemented LumenRadio’s Galileo wireless DMX system. Galileo can transmit DMX signals wirelessly through CRMX over long distances with ultra-low latency, ensuring reliable control without the need for physical cabling. This made it possible to control the RGBW fixtures in a simple and efficient way, with no compromise on performance.
The lighting design was created by Studio DL, and the beautiful photos were captured by photographer Jolanda van Velzen.
And the result speaks for itself.
