Blackout Lighting Console’s latest update includes support for LumenRadio's MoonLite and TimoTwo

LumenRadio and Blackout Lighting Console have announced the immediate availability of MoonLite and TimoTwo support in the new update to Blackout App – a revolutionary bridge between full-size lighting console desks and insufficient mobile apps for wireless lighting control.

LumenRadio’s MoonLite, for wireless DMX control, was launched at Prolight + Sound 2019 and has become a huge success due to the ultra-reliable CRMX technology, the small built-in battery, and integrated Bluetooth connectivity. Concurrent Bluetooth provides the functionality for the Blackout app to output DMX using iOS device’s built-in hardware, directly to MoonLite™ and TimoTwo devices™. This eliminates the need for wifi access points and creates a more streamlined process for on-the-go control.

In addition to support for Moonlite, Blackout’s latest updates include multicell integration, an advanced effects engine, and virtual dimmers which allow for one slider CCT control of a bi-color LED strip for incredibly intuitive adjustments. It is currently available for download for the iPad.

Blackout app is a quick and easily deployable solution for controlling lighting on sets where users often don’t have the time or resources to utilize a full size console.

Jeff Brink, CEO of Brink Ventures, says he saw a huge need in the industry for intuitive, but sophisticated lighting control on a tablet, allowing users a quick setup and the flexibility to take the console on set. Adding support for the LumenRadio Technology was a natural step as almost every lighting fixture on set has LumenRadio on-board.

“I love LumenRadio technology.  The TiMo chips paved the way for wireless data control that has revolutionized our business from the ground up.  As fixtures get smarter, lighting programmers and board ops are becoming more and more necessary on every set whether on a stage or out on location.  LumenRadio has made it possible to take control of fixtures everywhere we go, quickly and easily. I’m excited to see how this technology evolves with TimoTwo”, says Jeff Brink.
