Connected Power reduces electrical power waste and creates smarter, more sustainable, buildings
By addressing hidden energy drains and optimizing power usage, Honeywell is revolutionizing how companies manage energy waste in commercial buildings.
Idle devices like computers and vending machines can consume significant energy, even when not in use. In fact, all those plugged-in devices can account for more than 25% of a building’s energy use, with much of that power drain occurring when the space isn’t even occupied.
Honeywell, a leader in building management systems and energy transation solutions, tackles this issue with their new and innovative product, Connected Power. A controller that allows companies to automatically monitor and manage energy use down to individual power sockets, helping them better understand and control their buildings’ energy consumption.
The new Honeywell product integrates LumenRadio’s wireless MiraMesh technology, that offers ultra-reliable connectivity for the most business critical applications. Peter Lindkvist (COO) highlights how it supports and enables sustainable innovation for smart building control. He notes,
“Connected Power is a great example of how LumenRadio’s technology helps OEMs build products that drive sustainability and save energy.”
Here’s an article from Fast Company explaining, and also quantifying, the positive effects a building owner can expect from implementing Connected Power.
